Discover how to make the most of Knowledge & Library Services in this informal lunch-and-learn session. Learn how to use our journals, books and other evidence resources, plus explore the support available for literature searches and professional development. Bring your questions and follow along as we showcase the key tools and services available to you.

 

Health Literacy:communicate better with patients (60 mins) 

Find out how local rates of health literacy affect clinical outcomes and how you can help your patients better understand the health information you give them. 

 

Introduction to AI and Copilot

Explore the fundamentals of AI and discover how Microsoft Copilot Chat can support you with everyday admin tasks. This interactive session covers AI concepts, responsible use, effective prompting techniques, and hands-on Copilot activities to help you work more efficiently.

 

Library Induction (15 mins) 

Gain an overview of the facilities and services Knowledge and Library Services provides and an introduction to the resources most useful to you. 

 

Literature Searching Skills (60 mins) 

Learn or refresh your memory on how to build a search strategy and perform an advanced search in the Medline database. 

 

Using Critical Appraisal Tools (60 mins) 

Learn or refresh your memory on how to use a checklist to perform a critical appraisal of a journal article.
