EDIT: The industrial action due to take place between Friday 10 and Monday 13 October has been called off.

Most bus services in Greater Manchester will run as normal this weekend, as unions have called off strikes that were due to take place on Friday 10 October, Saturday 11 October and Monday 13 October.

While most buses will run as normal, there may still be disruption to some services.

Please check on the Transport for Greater Manchester website before you travel and leave plenty of time for your journey.

Two Bee Network bus operators - Stagecoach and Metroline – have announced that they plan to strike on Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Monday 13 October, followed by Saturday 18, Thursday 23 and Friday 24 October.

Bus services in Tameside are not expected to run.

Full details of the disruption can be found on the Transport for Greater Manchester website.

Please check before travelling in case your bus is affected. You should also leave plenty of time for your journey and plan an alternative route if your bus is not expected to run.

All trams, local trains, Local Link and Ring and Ride will operate as normal on the strike days.

Bus passengers affected by industrial action with 7-day, 28-day, term-time or annual bus passes, as well as those with concessionary passes – including Our Pass – will be able to use their tickets and passes to travel on the entire Metrolink network, all Northern train services in affected areas and on TransPennine Express services between Greenfield and Manchester Piccadilly across Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Monday 13 October.

Services will be busier than normal and passengers who can are encouraged to travel outside the busiest periods (7-9am and 4-6pm) when there is likely to be more space onboard.
