The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is currently operating temporarily from the Blue Suite at Tameside Hospital. Plans are underway to build a new Urgent Treatment Centre on the current Hartshead North site, which will provide additional space and help improve patient flow through the hospital.
As building work will begin shortly, the Hartshead North Reception will close at the end of August.
Patients attending appointments who arrive at Hartshead North can use the self check-in kiosk to register their arrival or they can visit the Main Outpatients Reception in Hartshead South.
Volunteers will be available to assist patients with using the self check-in kiosk, provide directions to the appropriate department or waiting area, and support patients who require the use of a mobility scooter to get to their appointment.
