Significant work has been taking place on Fountain Street over the last few weeks as part of the Trust’s multi-million-pound ED redevelopment.
A new steel frame structure is now almost complete as the new development continues to take shape.
The new structure is in situ where the old emergency department waiting room once stood and will eventually house the children’s emergency department reception and waiting area, amongst other services.
Once in place, the frame is the final large-scale construction as part of the programme.
The Trust would like to thank patients and visitors for their ongoing support during construction work, which has seen road closures and diversions around the Hospital site at various times.
