About our department

The Gynaecology Services provide comprehensive care for women with a wide range of gynaecology issues and consist of:

  • In-patient/day case on Women's Health Unit, First Floor, Hartshead Building

  • Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit. (EPAU)

  • Reassurance early pregnancy scanning

  • Emergency gynaecology assessment unit

  • Preoperative assessment clinic.

  • Urogynaecology and urodynamics clinic

  • Colposcopy/hysteroscopy

  • Nurse led Smear clinics

  • One stop post menopausal bleed clinic

  • Reproductive health care including termination of pregnancy and contraception.

  • Gynaecological Oncology working closely with the Greater Manchester Cancer Network

  • Adolescent and pubertal gynaecology

  • Insertion of Mirena coil clinic

  • General gynaecology
